Australian Consumer Law & Refunds

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), services must be rendered with due care and skill and match descriptions. If a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy which may include re-performance, refund or compensation.

Our refund and rebooking policy:

  • Refunds are considered where a service is defective or not provided with due care.
  • For change or cancellation by the client, refer to our cancellation policy (sec-6).
  • Gift cards and promotions have specific expiry and redemption terms (sec-5).

Privacy, Data Access & Requests

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold. Requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe.

Legal basis & storage

We store personal information to provide services, manage bookings, and comply with legal obligations. Where we engage third-party processors, contracts require APP-consistent safeguards.

Promotions, Bonus Codes & Gift Cards

Promotions and bonus codes are subject to terms. Misuse may result in cancellation of discounts. All promotions are governed by the specific offer terms and applicable law.

Cancellation & Liability

Clients must provide timely notice for cancellations. Cancellation fees may apply as specified at booking. We carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance, but to the extent permitted by law our liability is limited.

  • Cancellation by client: fees per booking terms.
  • Cancellation by salon: where services are cancelled by us, a full rebooking or refund will be offered.
  • Liability limitation: subject to non-excludable consumer guarantees under ACL.

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes may be heard in NSW courts unless otherwise required by law.

Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied, please follow our internal complaints process. We aim to resolve matters within 30 days.

If unresolved, your complaint will be escalated to our management team. We will advise expected timeframes and potential remedies.

If still unresolved, you may contact the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) for privacy matters.
